Frequently Asked Questions

Order a playlist from our site. The instant the order is completed, you are presented a link to start the download. If you miss that, not a problem, you are instantly sent an email with the link to download, as well.
Once your file is downloaded, using your computer, you will see The Playlist-I-Just-Ordered-bpm.zip file in your Downloads folder (Note the Zip at the end). You will need to extract that file. Usually during the Extraction process (Right click, Extract All, etc.), the file is extracted to your Downloads folder, also, where your downloaded files are. Once the file is extracted. Open iTunes, create a play list, called, in this case The Playlist-I-Just-Ordered-bpm. Make sure you can see iTunes and your Downloads folder at the same time. Then put your mouse over the The Playlist-I-Just-Ordered-bpm folder, not the Zip file. Left click, hold the button down, then drag that folder over to your newly created Playlist on iTunes, let go of the left button. All the songs should start populating your playlist. Now that you have your new playlist in your iTunes, it is time to get it on your iDevice:
Sync your content using Wi-Fi
  1. Connect your iOS device to your computer with a USB cable, then open iTunes and select your device.
  2. Click Summary on the left side of the iTunes window.
  3. Select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi."
  4. Click Apply.
We have a FREE downloadable mix that you can practice how to download. The download is not meant to teach any classes, only to practice and learn how to download using your Cell, Tablet, or Computer. Be sure to check out our Help section for tutorials on best practices of downloading. The link to that Practice Download is Here
We no longer do "custom" mixes, meaning, you order a custom mix and we bust it out for you. In that essence, no we don't. However, if you have a list of titles at least 17 titles long, preferably 20 titles long, email us that list. We will take that list, and if the DJ's think it will work, they will make it. Be warned, that it won't happen right away, as they typically are working on new mixes already and will need to fit into their schedule. If they do make "your" playlist, it will be named after you (IE Eve's Mix, Nikki's Mix, etc.). We will notify you if and when it goes live, we might even let you have access to it before anyone else has it. At that point, you are under no obligation to purchase the mix after it goes live on the site, but you are more than welcome too.
Using a PC

  2. Click Summary on the left side of the iTunes window.

iPhone Sync to iTunes over Wi-Fi

If connecting your iPhone to your Mac via a cable feels like a strait jacket, you can now break free by setting up a sync through your Wi-Fi connection. That’s right, no more looking for cables. If only we could charge this way as well…hey Apple, what are you waiting for? There is a downside to this freedom; the speeds won’t be as fast as when connected with a cable. But if you value convenience over speed, let’s get to the steps you’ll need to setup wireless iPhone sync with Mac.
  1. Unfortunately you’ll need your USB cable to set up Wi-Fi syncing for the first time.
  2. Connect your iPhone to your Mac via your cable.
  3. Launch iTunes and click on the iPhone icon.
  4. Click on the Summary tab.
  5. Under Options check the Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi box and click Apply.
  6. Now you can remove the cable. Freedom is at hand!
Sync Mac with iPhone over WiFi
That’s it. Now, in future, when your iPhone connects to the same Wi-Fi connection it will be available for syncing in iTunes. Now go ahead and throw that iPhone cable in the trash!* *Don’t do that. That’s a terrible idea.

*** We do NOT support downloading with cell phones *** If you choose to download using your cell phone you do so at your own risk. ***

We have researched some solutions to downloading with your cell phone. It can be done, and users do it.

For Android Phones:

Using your browser click on the Download link in the email with your download links, the Thank you Page with your Download links, or on the Downloads page in your My Account on this site.

If you are using a browser to get the file, try using a different browser. (ie FireFox instead of Internet Explorer, Firefox instead of Safari, Chrome instead of FireFox)

To Manage and Extract Zip Files:

PowerAmp Music Player - Plays gapless/seamless music.

Downloading mp3 mix to your Android phone:

Load following apps on your phone - both of the ones I used were free:

  1. a music player - PowerAmp Music Player - Free 15 day Trial , then $3.99 to upgrade

Before starting , realize that a phone is much slower than a computer ….so patience  during the download process is important……

1. Using your phone, place your order on our site.  Once your order is complete you will get a screen with a ‘download file’ link.  Press that and wait - file sizes are 50 - 90 MB, depending on what mix you ordered.  The music player on my phone gives me 9GB so there’s room for 100 of our largest mixes in the player memory.  Of course the amount of memory that you have available will depend on how many pictures/videos/texts/music, etc files that  you already have loaded, so make sure that you have enough room BEFORE you start downloading.

  1. Open your My Files on your phone.  The zip file for the mix downloads directly into the Downloads folder.
  2. Once the download onto your phone is complete, click on the zip icon with the music file (The Playlist-I-Just-Ordered-bpm.zip) and select ‘extract file here’ . A progress bar will indicate that the file is unzipping…
  3. Once the file is unzipped/extracted, there will be a new folder in the Download folder called The Playlist-I-Just-Ordered-bpm which contains the unzipped music tracks of you playlist.
  4. Press the new music folder icon until a pop up appears and  lets you select ‘Move’, now Move that Folder with all your tracks in it to your Music folder by pressing the up icon, then tapping the Music folder.

5. Press the ‘MOVE HERE’ box at the top right of the screen, and a message ‘file moved successfully’ will appear on your screen

  1. Now tap the  PowerAmp Music Player icon to load PowerAmp.
  2. Tap the 4 roundish boxes icon on the lower left of PowerAmp.
  3. This will take you to your PowerAmp Music Category area.  Now tap the Folders category.   You should now see the playlist(s) you just moved to your Music folder.
  4. 9. Tap the Playlist you want to listen to, then tap the first song. You should now hear music.
  5.  Now go, teach your class.

iPhone:

Use the iDownloader Pro app (Cost 2.99)

How to download a file?

  1. Enter any site's URL in our in-app browser and press GO
  2. Tap or tap and hold a file, a download link or download button
  3. Choose a 'download' option from the pop-up menu

Note: To download a file from the web, you should use our app's built-in browser only. Our app will not be able to download from other browsers!

It does have a player, but we think iTunes is much better as a player for iPhones.

iDownloader should automatically take over doing the download and if you have configured it correctly, it will extract the file to your iTunes folder. At that point, just open iTunes, and your music should play as you would expect it to.

With iDownloader Pro, you can share your mixes with other devices that are on your WiFi, Mac, iPod, etc..

You can get iDownloader Pro in the Apple Store @ https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/idownloader-pro-downloads/id585600864?mt=8#

InstructorMusic.com has no affiliation with any of the "Apps" available at Google Play Store, and we do not endorse any of them. Download and install at your own Risk

The instant your order is successfully completed, you are presented with a page (your Thank You page) to immediately start your download, while at the same instant  2 emails are sent to the email address on record. One email is your receipt, the other email contains your link to download your playlist. If you did not receive one or both of those emails, please check your Spam/Junk folder for the email(s).

If you can't find the email with your download links, you will have to log into your account on our site. Simply go to our site, click on My Account, once logged in, click on Downloads, you will see the download(s) waiting for you. Just click on the download link as you would in the email and the download will start.

Fortunately, we have a solution for that as well. We have developed our sister site, called 32CountFitness.com, that is a streaming site. Kinda like YouTube without the video portion.

With the 32Count Fitness system, there are no CD’s to purchase, and no downloads to download and get into your player or device. Simply select your mix, your bpm, and click play. That is all there is to it.

Once a download order is placed, you have 5 days before the download link expires or 5 download attempts before the link expires. This is a security feature built into the site for your protection and ours.

If you have exceeded the download attempts or the time before the expiration, just use the Contact Us tab to let us know. We can reset your links for you.

This is caused by iCloud. All you need to do is to turn off iCloud in iTunes. Open iTunes, click on Edit, then Preferences, under the General tab, you will see a check mark next to iCloud. Click on the Check Mark to remove it, then click Save. You should be able to add all your music to your playlist now.   See, Adding Music to iTunes - for the best way to add music to your iTunes.

If you used the Best method shown in the Adding Music to iTunes above, and still have your songs out of order, you can fix that by following the below methods;   You can manually move the tracks around by clicking and moving it to the proper spot directly within iTunes.   The other option is to highlight your Mix, on the left pane, the click on View, then Show View Options, click Track Number, so it has a check mark next to it. Then under Sort near the top, select Track. That will sort them by track number.

This is usually caused by your song list being out of order. Instructor Music designs our mixes to be in the order listed on the product description. Verify that your song list is in the proper order. Often times, that happens when you select all the songs in the folder as opposed the folder when creating your playlist in iTunes.

The Best and Easiest way to get your music into iTunes:

Once the file is downloaded, it should only take a couple of minutes to get the music into iTunes.

Again, once the file is downloaded, Right click on it, and Unzip/Extract the file. It will Unzip/Extract into its own folder. Open iTunes, create a Playlist, name the Play list the name of the Mix.

Making sure you can see iTunes and the Folder with your music, drag the Folder (Not the individual songs from inside the folder) onto your new playlist. The playlist will now populate with all the music with in the folder, In proper order.

The instant you click the submit button after putting in your email email address when using the Reset Your Password option. An email with instructions on resetting your password is immediately sent to your email address. If you don't see the Password Reset email in your Inbox, please check your Spam/Junk folder for the email. It most likely it ended up in your Spam/Junk folder.

Again, once the file is downloaded, Right click on it, and Unzip/Extract the file. It will Unzip/Extract into its own folder. Open iTunes, create a Playlist, name the Play list the name of the Mix.

First let me say, that Please Do NOT use any of our music that you have purchased for background music in your virtual video streaming. You need special licensing to be able to do it legally, licensing that we cannot provide and could take several months to get, and of course lots of money. Your gym or yourself should have Public Use licensing in place that covers you while in the gym. It does NOT cover you in the Virtual Video streaming platform. Especially since, we use Original artists for our music.

We dug in and searched high and low on how best to get you what you needed without fear of getting fined or sued by certain groups or having your video's taken down because you used copyrighted music in your video streams (i.e. Our current typical library of music mixes).

OK, now that part is out of the way. This mix, should work for your needs on the video stream aspect. Is it our usual fair of Top40 and major original artists? No. That would put you in financial jeopardy as noted in our previous email. Will it work for your needs? Yes.

Definition of choices below:

Separate Tracks Mp3: Each playlist song is its own track. Just like on
a CD.
Non Tracked Mp3 – This is a single file with the whole playlist. No
separate tracks.

Both One Continuous and Separated tracks, are in 32Count Phrasing and are gapless/seamless.

Let's dive deeper into what those really mean for you.
Do to how Apple has made downloading and getting your music into your iDevice and having it play gapless for you, a bit troublesome. We have added the the option of a Non Tracked Mp3. It is the Whole Mix/Playlist in One Single Continuous file.

What this does for you is that there are not tracks to deal with, as sometimes, getting multiple tracks onto your iDevice successfully, is a challenge. So, in this case, you just download this single file, put it into your player, and it will play all the way through, gapless/seamless, and just like you have become accustom to.

We started adding these files to all the mixes starting in the first week of December 2020. Any mixes older than that, will still only be Tracked mixes. But all mixes going forward will have the Separate Tracks version and the Non Tracked file in all BPM's for your pleasure.

When you add the Non Tracked mix to your playlist in your player, it will appear as only one track. You will not see all the tracks/songs in that playlist. Take a look at the Length of that track and you will see it is at least an hour long at 136 bpm.

If you are tired of Downloading all together, we have our sister site called 32CountFitness.com where there is no downloading. Simply select your mix, select your BPM, and click play - Done.
Check it out!! It has all the mixes and more of what Instructor Music, as all the music comes from Instructor Music.
